Presidential candidate, Ron Paul’s
campaign staff is suing a pro-Huntsman political group over a video that purported
Jon Huntsman was the “Manchurian candidate” and lacked American values because
of his ambassadorship to China and since he had adopted
daughters from both India and China. The ad's negative tone was meant to depress an otherwise surging Paul campaign.
When the video went viral, the
mainstream media quickly began their brutal assault on the Ron Paul campaign,
deeming this video the ‘nail in the coffin’ for Paul who had also recently been
under attack for not adequately defending racist newsletters published under
his name in the late 80’s; newsletters in which Paul did not write.
The ad suggests Jon Huntsman should
not be trusted due to his deep ties to China; Huntsman is shown speaking
Mandarin and holding the hand of his adopted daughter, Gracie’s hand.
However, after a thorough
investigation by independent, truth-seeking Paul supporters, it was revealed
that the Ron Paul campaign had not issued, authorized or endorsed this video. But rather, the Huntsman campaign had been wholly responsible for the video and used it as a tool in an attempt to further discredit the Paul campaign.
Shortly after this news hit the
air, Huntsman formally dropped out of the race.
It really makes you wonder...
